Church Music Director Job Posting
Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Kennebunk, Maine
Holy Cross is seeking a part-time Music Director. In partnership with the pastor and
worship committee, this individual will lead, support, and encourage congregational
participation in an active music program. We are seeking an enthusiastic person with
organ and piano skills as well as choir directing abilities. We have one Sunday morning
service at 10 AM at which the adult choir sings. The service includes Lutheran liturgy
and hymns and a weekly prelude and postlude. These are both traditional and
contemporary. There are special services on Ash Wednesday, mid-week during Lent,
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas Eve. Occasionally there are
special children’s events. Weddings and funerals have extra compensation. Salary is to
be negotiated. We have an Ahlborn-Galanti Chronicler IIIB electronic organ. Kennebunk
