SEEDS OF HOPE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER

Our church’s newest food ministry led by Mary Keating at the Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center in Biddeford
where we will be providing lunch on the third Tuesday of each month for over 50 individuals.

A 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, Seeds of Hope was established more than 15 years ago as an
outgrowth of Biddeford’s Episcopal Church. It began as a daytime drop-in program fighting against
food insecurity, isolation, and despair. More recently it partnered with the City and others in the
surrounding communities to add an overnight shelter providing a safe place for the unhoused.

Dedicated staff and volunteers strive to offer hope for those who are in poverty or are struggling, care
for those in need, advocacy for those who have been silenced, companionship for those who are alone,
and compassionate love for all. In addition to free meals and overnight lodging, permanent housing
has been successfully found for some, and social services are available to all.

Making a difference, planting one seed at a time for a brighter future for all.
