Kennebunk — Oct 16, 2026 — Seven Kennebunk and Kennebunkport churches will combine to host an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service on November 22 at 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on the corner of Lord and Storer Streets in Kennebunk. The community event invites all across the area to gather together for a short service of Thanksgiving. An anthem will be sung by a combined choir led by Wendy Hagerty and accompanied by Amy Hall from the Church on the Cape.
In addition to the service, the participating churches will be collecting donations during the event to aid Caring Community Cuisine, a nonprofit café in Kennebunkport that provides nourishing meals and human interaction to individuals and families battling cancer. This meal service is provided at no cost and is geared toward alleviating some financial and emotional burden so the patient can focus on their recovery.
