13 Scotland Rd, a Blues duo featuring Aaron Seglin and Bill Binford, will perform a special benefit concert on November 14, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church
Selected to represent Maine at the 2027 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, the duo is hosting this event to help defray travel and competition expenses. Admission is $25 per person, payable in advance or at the door via Venmo (@John-Corgan-2). Attendees are invited to arrive early to enjoy complimentary cookies and apple cider.
About the Duo
At the core of 13 Scotland Rd are songwriter Bill Binford (vocals, acoustic guitar, dobro, composition) and Aaron Seglin (vocals, harmonica, wooden flute, percussion). Originally from South Orange, New Jersey, Binford and Seglin have been captivating audiences across Portland and Southern Maine since 2014. Bill’s warm personality and Aaron’s signature charm continue to captivate crowds wherever they perform. If Keb’ Mo’ performed with a flute-wielding Sonny Terry, you might have 13 Scotland Rd.
Throughout 2026, the duo delivered memorable performances at regional venues including The Leavitt Theater, Wander at Longwoods, The First Church in Belfast as part of All Roads Music Festival, Portland House of Music, and Live at Madrid’s. Beyond the Northeast, they have graced iconic stages in Nashville, including The Commodore Grill and The Bluebird Cafe, undertook a minitour of Ireland and were featured on NewsCenter Maine’s 207.
Additionally, 13 Scotland Rd was selected to perform at the launch show for Sofar Sounds in Portland—a global live concert series renowned for hosting intimate, secret performances in unique venues. Having built successful music followings in New Jersey and Seattle, the duo continues to expand their footprint and fanbase throughout Maine
