SUMMARY:Seeds of Hope Lunch
DESCRIPTION:SEEDS OF HOPE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER \nOur church’s newest food ministry led by Mary Keating at the Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center in Biddeford\nwhere we will be providing lunch on the third Tuesday of each month for over 50 individuals. \nA 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization\, Seeds of Hope was established more than 15 years ago as an\noutgrowth of Biddeford’s Episcopal Church. It began as a daytime drop-in program fighting against\nfood insecurity\, isolation\, and despair. More recently it partnered with the City and others in the\nsurrounding communities to add an overnight shelter providing a safe place for the unhoused. \nDedicated staff and volunteers strive to offer hope for those who are in poverty or are struggling\, care\nfor those in need\, advocacy for those who have been silenced\, companionship for those who are alone\,\nand compassionate love for all. In addition to free meals and overnight lodging\, permanent housing\nhas been successfully found for some\, and social services are available to all. \nMaking a difference\, planting one seed at a time for a brighter future for all.
