MISSION STATEMENT: The Worship Committee will assist the Pastor and other staff with planning, scheduling and conducting worship services that are meaningful, inviting and uplifting while maintaining the liturgical traditions of the Lutheran Church. By supporting, assisting, and encouraging the pastor and music director, members of the choir and musicians, worship assistants and acolytes, ushers, members of altar guild, and sound technicians we will endeavor to improve our worship life. Also, we will assist the congregation and altar guild with floral arrangements, paraments, and banners. Our goal is to encourage members to actively serve in our worship life and conduct any necessary training to that end.
Holy Cross needs you. The greatest gift of all is His redeeming grace, which saves us from our sins.
"Go in Peace, serve the Lord." How many Sunday mornings have you heard this? Perhaps it's time you said it. Holy Cross needs volunteers to serve as Worship assistants, both first and second at the early and late services. Don't worry, you don't have to sing, or have a strong speaking voice, or be practically perfect. All you need is a willing spirit and a willingness to donate a few Sundays a year.
