Adopt-a-Garden
We are blessed at Holy Cross to have extensive grounds, but that means a lot of upkeep. A few years ago, we instituted the Adopt-a-Garden project by dividing the grounds into a number of distinct areas for volunteers to plant and maintain. The results have been lovely, and we heartily thank all who have worked on their plots and are still working to beautify our grounds in appreciation and praise of the glories of God's creation. If you'd like to get involved in this project, check the plot plan in the Narthex for areas of the grounds available to be adopted. Lawn mowing is the responsibility of trustees, not volunteers, so have no fears in that regard. Several times a year, perennial bulbs and corms become available from festal floral displays, that you can plant in your area. (Gardeners who want to make MAJOR changes to their area, such as tree or shrub or mature perennial removal or installation, should check with Trustees for approval of their plans.)
